Students learn the popular martial art of Taekwondo, while improving balance, strength, coordination and flexibility. Classes are designed to meet the needs of all ability & levels, from a family activity to competition training. Taekwondo abides by the tenets: Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control and Indomitable Spirit. All Sahn Taekwondo classes are taught by black belt certified by the World Taekwondo Federation. Carbondale head instructor, Cedar Rose, certified black belt.

The Pebble Wrestlers train as a team to compete individually in the USA Sport Climbing Series and ABS Bouldering Competitions throughout Colorado. The team’s primary goals are to make sure you improve, have fun, and are psyched about climbing. Team size is limited, and is first come, first served. Pre-requisites: Advanced Youth Climbing Class, top rope belay certified, appropriate age, and/or instructor approval.
Ages: 11-18 years
Dates: October 7-December 16
Cost: October $50; November $50; December $37; Whole Fall Season $110 (Oct-Dec)
Fee does not include competition or travel fees. Competitions are optional.

Our Climbing Club is designed to give your climber continuing climbing experience. Our certified instructor will equip your climber with new techniques while they learn the importance of fitness, working as a team, and most importantly, having some active and productive fun!
- 1 day a week of exclusive wall access in a small group setting
- 2 hours of training and instruction
- Educational instruction in a non-threatening and customizable environment
- Attend Club practices regularly
- Be supportive of other club members’ efforts and try to teach as much as you learn
- Come ready to climb and be redundantly safety conscious

A continuation of what you learned in the introductory climbing class. The class will progress sequentially and accommodate intermediate and experienced climbers alike. Prerequisite: Must have climbing waiver signed by parent or guardian and youth climbing class or equivalent experience.

Dates: Session 1-November 6, 13, 20; Session 2-December 4, 11, 18

Dec 16 – Mar 22 | 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Our leagues are designed to develop young boys and girls into fundamentally sound basketball players by teaching them basketball-specific skills, teamwork, camaraderie, a strong work ethic, and more. We offer separate male and female leagues for both 3rd/4th graders and 5th/6th graders. Teams will practice once or twice each week with games mixed in (practices are 1-1.5 hrs and games are 1 hr). All participants will receive a t-shirt.

Once a team reaches 10 players, it will be considered FULL. Additional sign-ups prior to the registration deadline will begin filling another team. If a minimum of 8 players is not met, the participants will not be able to play. SO SIGN UP NOW!
Jan 2 – Feb 6 | 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM
This is an introductory program for ice hockey for boys and girls. These lessons are for those who have some skating skills with little or no hockey skills. Participants will develop their skills and learn the basics of the game in a recreational environment. Hockey helmets with full face mask and a hockey stick are required for all participants. Shin pads, elbow pads, hockey gloves, and all other safety equipment highly recommended. **Coaches are needed for this program. If you are interested, call 970.510.1277.

Hey parents. Do your kids need to run off some energy after school? Do they like throwing things . . . at people? Join C-dale Recreation for some organized and controlled, yet FUN dodgeball action. We use foam dodgeballs and will explore the many variations of the game.

Spring Break Trips
Carbondale Recreation will be offering two trips during Spring Break for the Roaring Fork School District. Need something fun for your student on their day off from school? Check out the two options below! All programs are for ages 8-14 years and will leave from/return to the CRCC.
Monday, March 24: Bananas Fun Park (9am-4pm; $45)
Three hours of unlimited fun at Bananas Fun Park in Grand Junction. Laser tag, indoor inflatable playland, mini golf, go-karts, arcade games, and more! Pizza and soda included for lunch.
Wednesday, March 26: Hot Springs Pool and a Movie (9am-4pm; $45)
We will begin the day with a dip in the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool. Then we will take in an afternoon G or PG movie. Please send a sack lunch or money to buy lunch and movie snacks.

Taking care of young children is an important responsibility. The Red Cross Babysitter’s Training Course can help you learn what you need to know to be the best and most responsible babysitter you can be. Designed for 11-15 year olds, this course teaches you to be a safe and responsible babysitter.

Whether you’ve never skated before or want a chance to perfect new tricks, join instructor Chris Johnson at the Carbondale Skate Park. Lessons are offered for two different skill groups Must sign up for full session-each session is 4 lessons.
Must have own skateboard. Helmets MANDATORY. All other safety equipment highly recommended. Please wear appropriate footwear and bring a water bottle.
