Never thought you could afford a healthy cooking class?  Now you can!

This is a family Program of cooking classes using healthy produce from a local farm. This Free program requires one parent and one child (age 6-12) must attend at least 4 of the 6 cooking classes offered.  At the end of each class receive a $30 gift basket of local produce that was used in the cooking class provided by the Roaring Fork Garden.  This is a grant funded program and 50% of the participants should qualify for the free lunch program.

FarmRX Includes: 6 cooking classes with family matters, kid friendly educational materials, recipes, a trip to a local farm to see where your food is coming from, the option to take two additional food preservation classes, and 6 $30 produce baskets.  If you attend all classes, the farm visit, and the two additional classes you will also receive a free canning kit including a water bath canner, jars, and canning tools.

Class Dates: Sept 7th-Oct 26th

Class Time: 4:30-7pm

Class Location: Activity Room at the Rec Center

Registration Deadline: August 31st (the class is free but you are required to register and on the first day of class).  If you qualify for the free lunch program by the end of the first class fill out the scholarship information and provide either last years income tax, all pay stubs for the previous month, or all w-2s.

We must have 7 families attend or this amazing program will be cancelled.
