Do you need a space to garden this year?

Demeter’s Garden, located behind the Third Street Center in Carbondale has garden plots available to lease for the 2018 season. Take a walk through the garden, as plots are marked for their availability. Costs vary from $40-$55 depending on the plot size.

If you are interested or need further information, contact the Carbondale Recreation Center at 510-1290.

Carbondale 4th of July Celebration

Jul 4 – Jul 4 | 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Have a great time on July 4th with a real old fashioned family celebration.  The fun begins with a kids’ parade down Main Street that ends in Sopris Park where there will be food, crafts, children’s games, chalk art projects, free watermelon and ice cream sandwiches, and music!  $5 pool entry for everyone!

10:30am-39th Annual Kids’ Parade down Main Street (Come in costume, decorate your bike, wear your uniform, play an instrument, do a routine, etc)

11:00am-Sopris Park and Pool Celebration (Community Pool Party, free watermelon and ice cream sandwiches, games, food, live music, games and contests, and more!)

*Staging for the parade will be on 2nd Street
