The Town of Carbondale Recreation Department along with Carbondale Council on Arts and Humanities invites children and adults of all ages to light up downtown Carbondale and welcome Santa.
Santa’s sleigh will land at the Forest Service Tree at Main and Weant around 5:15pm. We will sing some festive holiday songs with the CRES 5th Graders, then around 5:30pm we will light the tree.
Santa and the carolers will continue on to the 4th Street Plaza at about 5:45pm. The lights on all of the trees lining Main Street will come on with a little holiday magic when Santa reaches the Plaza.
At the Plaza, there will be more caroling, free hot chocolate and cookies, and a bonfire and roasted marshmallows to keep you warm.
NEW THIS YEAR: Santa will visit with children at CCAH’s new location: The Launch Pad (formerly the Gordon Cooper Library). Santa will be available 3:30pm-5:00pm and again 6:30pm-8:00pm. Additional entertainment at The Launchpad will include singing from SOL’s Theatre Annie cast, and dancing from Crystal River Ballet’s Nutcracker cast.
Date: Friday, December 5
Location: 4th Street Plaza and the Launch Pad
